Consuming unpurified, whole-leaf aloe products often triggers severe abdominal cramping, diarrhea, and digestive distress. This intense laxative effect can also drastically alter how your body absorbs prescription medications.
If you decide to drink aloe vera juice, experts strongly advise purchasing products made exclusively from purified inner-leaf gel. Look for labels marked “decolorized,” which indicates the dangerous aloin has been safely extracted.
Additionally, pregnant individuals should strictly avoid all consumable aloe products unless explicitly directed by a primary healthcare provider.
