Essential Materials

- Terry hair ties: Thick, fuzzy elastic bands serve as the primary exterior.

- Polyester fiberfill: Standard toy stuffing gives the bear its shape.
- Black beads: Two small beads are needed for the eyes.
- Embroidery floss: A small length of mouline thread is used to stitch the nose.

Shaping the Bear
The construction process relies on strategically sectioning the elastic material to form the bear’s anatomy. Small pinches of the terry material are isolated and secured with tight thread wraps.
Begin by defining the ears at the top of the hair tie and the lower paws at the bottom. Wrapping thread tightly around these small sections creates distinct, rounded appendages.
Next, isolate the head. By wrapping thread horizontally below the ears, a distinct head shape emerges above the body. Once the head is defined, repeat the pinching technique just below the neck to form the upper paws.
