A Masterclass in Minimalist Retro
Stepping out on July 18, the Crime 101 star embraced a distinctly retro aesthetic. Barbaro wore a sleek, square-neck little black dress featuring a dramatically short hemline.
The piece is a hand-crafted Beau Dress in Black Silk and Wool by Lein, which retails for $1,698. The trapeze silhouette offers a sharp, modern update to a timeless classic.

To anchor the look, Barbaro revived a polarizing early-2000s staple: the peep-toe mule. Her smart, black heeled mules paired seamlessly with the summer heat in the city, and she finished the ensemble with a pair of dark sunglasses.
Finding Solid Ground in Hollywood
Beyond her sartorial choices, Barbaro is navigating a major turning point in her acting career. In a candid interview with The Guardian, she admitted to finally feeling secure in a notoriously fickle industry.

“The scarcity of work in this industry has terrified me for so long, and it feels like a gift to not be in a state of desperation any more,” Barbaro stated.
Looking ahead, she welcomes the unpredictable nature of her filming schedule. “I honestly don’t know right now, which is kind of a weird, exciting thing. It’s nice to feel that and not feel like: ‘Oh no, I’ll never work again.’ At least I know something will be there.”
