Emma Roberts and Cody John are officially married. The 35-year-old “American Horror Story” actress and the “Wu-Tang: An American Saga” actor tied the knot on July 25.
The couple held their ceremony at a private residence in Idaho, marking the next chapter of a relationship that spans more than four years.

A Transforming Custom Gown
Roberts walked down the aisle in a custom off-white silk chiffon dress designed by Monique Lhuillier. The intricate creation process spanned nine months and required nearly 1,000 hours of labor.
The actress told Vogue she was aiming for a “little antique ghost doll” aesthetic. To achieve this, the gown was constructed to transform throughout the evening, offering five distinct looks for the bride.
“I’ve been married in a movie before, and I tried out wedding dresses for that, which feels so weird,” Roberts said. “So now, it’s the real deal.”
An Archival Black After-Party Look
For the reception, Roberts completely switched gears. She changed into an archival black two-piece from Lhuillier’s 2004 collection, featuring a structured black corset top and a layered silk organza skirt.
“I love the idea of wearing black for the after-party,” she explained. “We love doing something that’s a little unexpected. This looks like it could be totally vintage from 100 years ago, or from now.”
While discussing John’s potential reaction to her daring outfit, Roberts kept it lighthearted. “He wouldn’t care if I wore jeans,” she noted. “But he’s gonna definitely die for this.”
From Boat Kisses to Blended Families
Roberts and John first went public in August 2022 when John posted a photo of the pair kissing on a boat. The notoriously private couple later announced their engagement in July 2024.
Roberts memorably captioned her engagement announcement: “Putting this here before my mom tells everyone ❤️.”
The actress is the daughter of Kelly Cunningham and Eric Roberts, as well as the niece of Julia Roberts. She also shares a 5-year-old son, Rhodes Robert Hedlund, with her ex-boyfriend, “Tulsa King” actor Garrett Hedlund.
The former couple recently celebrated Rhodes’ fifth birthday together. In January, Roberts shared photos of their joint co-parenting trip to Universal Studios Florida to mark the occasion.
