Oxfordshire’s largest music festival pulled the plug on a food stall this weekend following dozens of severe food poisoning reports. Truck Festival organizers confirmed they shut down the Yorky Roast food truck on Sunday morning.

The closure happened within 90 minutes after the onsite medical team noticed a sudden surge of attendees reporting similar symptoms.
The vendor is operated by Cardiff-based Event Mobile Catering Limited. The company has not yet responded to media requests regarding the incident.
“The Worst Food Poisoning of My Life”
Sickened festival-goers took to social media to document their ruined weekends. Multiple attendees reported abandoning the event early after feeling extremely ill.
One user claimed they contracted “the worst food poisoning of my life” from the stall and remained “still gutted” about being forced to leave early.
“Sunday became a complete write-off,” another attendee wrote. They noted the illness forced them to miss several of their favorite bands on the final day of the festival.
Immediate Investigations Launched
A festival spokesperson stated the health and safety team launched an immediate investigation after medical staff flagged the pattern Sunday morning. They quickly pinpointed the third-party food vendor as the suspected source.
“We share the disappointment and frustration of those whose weekend was affected,” the spokesperson said. Organizers reported the incident to the Vale of White Horse District Council’s environmental health team that same day.
Local authorities are now actively probing the situation. The council confirmed it is working directly with the food business, festival organizers, the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), and the trader’s local registering authority.
The suspected outbreak cast a shadow over a milestone weekend for Truck Festival. The event at Hill Farm in Steventon hosted a record-breaking crowd of 27,500 people, featuring headline performances by The Maccabees, Two Door Cinema Club, and The Wombats.
