7-Month-Old Georgia Baby Lands National Modeling Campaign with Carter’s

At just seven months old, Yahsin Rhodes is already building a resume. The baby boy, who has family ties to Coffee County, recently secured a modeling campaign with Carter’s, one of America’s most recognizable children’s clothing brands.

Yahsin currently lives in Atlanta with his parents, Yasmeen Gomes and Coffee County native Greg Rhodes Jr.

From Facebook Scroll to Casting Call

The opportunity started with a simple social media post. Gomes spotted a casting call for the brand online and decided to submit her son’s photos.

“Believe it or not I saw a post for the casting on Facebook,” Gomes said. “We are in Atlanta so there’s always so much opportunity here.”

Those initial photos caught the attention of casting directors, advancing Yahsin into a second round of auditions. This phase required the family to submit a video highlighting his natural personality.

Producers specifically needed to see his ability to sit up independently and watch how he looked when he crawled.

Tears of Joy

When the official acceptance news arrived, the emotion took over.

“I was honestly so excited for him,” Gomes said. “I cried — blame it on the postpartum hormones, or not.”

She views the campaign as a milestone the family will cherish for years.

“It honestly means so much to us and we are so proud of him,” Gomes said. “Everyone always tells us how cute he is and that he should be in someone’s ad or commercial.”

“Now we can respond saying ‘actually he’s a Carter’s baby’ and that’s a really great feeling. When he gets older it will be so great to show him what he accomplished at only 7 months old.”

A Proud Coffee County Family

The news quickly spread to Yahsin’s extended family, who share in the excitement of his early success.

His grandmother, Nena Rhodes, kept her reaction short and sweet: “I am so proud of my grandson.”

His aunt, Miah Rhodes, expressed her joy over seeing the young boy represent a major national brand on such a public stage.

“Watching my nephew achieve something this big at such a young age fills me with so much pride and joy,” she said. “Seeing his bright smile represent Carter’s Baby is such a beautiful milestone, and I can’t wait to watch him continue to shine.”
