Travis Scott looking focused during a public appearance
From Record-Breaking Stages to the Silver Screen
Travis Scott is trading historic stadium tours for Hollywood dominance.
Fresh off his Circus Maximus Tour—which grossed $265 million to become the highest-earning solo rap tour in history—the Houston rapper is celebrating a massive feature acting debut.

Scott stepped into the world of Christopher Nolan for the director’s 2026 epic, The Odyssey.
The film just secured the biggest live-action opening weekend of 2026, pulling in $123.5 million domestically and $263.7 million globally. The staggering global launch marks Nolan’s highest-grossing worldwide opening of all time.
Playing ‘The Bard’
In a striking departure from his usual aesthetic, Scott appears almost unrecognizable on screen sporting long dreads.
He plays “The Bard,” the very first character audiences meet in the film. Using rhythm and song, his character narrates the journey of the titular Odysseus, reappearing later to bookend the epic.
His contribution to the project also extends into the recording booth. Scott recorded the film’s closing-credits song, “When I’m Home,” collaborating with producer James Blake and composer Ludwig Göransson. He also directed the track’s official music video, which drops next week.
Battling Imposter Syndrome on Set
Despite his massive success in the music industry, stepping onto a Nolan set surrounded by A-list talent triggered heavy imposter syndrome.
During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show, Scott confessed he was “actually nervous” while delivering his lines in front of his veteran co-stars.
“I don’t know what the *beep* I’m doing,” he admitted to the late-night host.
Fortunately, the acclaimed director and the film’s heavyweight cast helped anchor him. “Such an amazing cast, supportive,” Scott explained. Nolan, who personally reached out with the part, “is an amazing director, everybody made me feel comfortable.”
“I was just glad to be there and watch him,” Scott added. “And be in such a world with them. So I’m just glad to be here.”
A Royal Football Connection
Scott’s winning streak hasn’t been limited to music and movies.
Last month, following a match at Boston Stadium, the rapper linked up with Norwegian soccer sensation Erling Haaland.
The star striker had been competing in a tournament wearing a custom Nike soccer boot designed by Scott. To show his appreciation, Haaland gifted the rapper a signed jersey and highlighted the meetup across his social media accounts.
