A Decades-Long Partnership Ends

“Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Angie Katsanevas and her husband, Shawn Trujillo, have officially separated. Multiple sources confirmed that the couple, who have been together for nearly three decades, are no longer romantically involved.

The pair tied the knot in June 1999 and share a 15-year-old daughter, Elektra. In the same year they married, Katsanevas and Trujillo successfully merged their professional lives by co-founding the Lunatic Fringe Salon.

Speculation regarding their marriage began to surface last month when Katsanevas noticeably failed to acknowledge their 27th wedding anniversary on Instagram.

This recent silence stands in stark contrast to her enthusiastic June 13, 2025, post honoring their relationship. “Seems like yesterday I booked an appointment for a blowdry with this dreamy guy I saw on the cover of a romance novel,” she wrote at the time. “The rest is HAIRstory.”

Representatives for the couple and Bravo have not yet commented on the separation.

Will the Split Feature on Season 7?

It remains unclear if the couple’s marital breakdown will be documented on the upcoming seventh season of “RHOSLC.” Production for Season 7 began in late February and officially wrapped in late May.

New seasons of the hit Bravo franchise typically premiere in the fall. Reunion episodes are traditionally shot toward the end of the season’s broadcast run and air immediately after the finale.

Surviving Season 4 Rumors

Katsanevas and Trujillo’s marriage previously took center stage during her first full-time run on the show in Season 4. Throughout the season, Katsanevas was forced to confront on-camera rumors alleging that Trujillo was cheating on her with several men.

Both Katsanevas and Trujillo were deeply hurt by the speculation and firmly denied the allegations. Trujillo directly addressed the gossip during an October 2023 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live.”

“For me, it’s not a gay-straight thing; it’s an infidelity thing,” Trujillo told host Andy Cohen.

He noted that their salon business had kept them closely embedded in the gay community for 30 years. “But I’m here to support Angie, and I’ll take the hits,” Trujillo added.

Later in that same season, Katsanevas admitted the couple was struggling to prioritize their marriage. She noted that running a demanding business and raising their teenage daughter consumed the vast majority of their time and energy.

Digital Clues and Denials

Recently, eagle-eyed fans noticed Trujillo following multiple divorce-related accounts on Instagram. He quickly went on the defensive, insisting his social media activity was unrelated to his marriage.

In January, Trujillo spoke to Reality Shrine to shut down the mounting divorce chatter.

“I simply have someone close to me going through a rough time,” Trujillo claimed. “This person sends me pages with thoughts and info on what they are going through. It’s as simple as that — nothing more, nothing less.”
