George was born on July 22, 2013, at St Mary’s Hospital in London. Because he is the first child of the heir to the throne, his arrival commanded immediate international headlines.
Stepping Up Royal Engagements

A New Chapter at Eton College
This September will bring a significant milestone in the royal teenager’s education.
George will follow directly in his father’s footsteps by enrolling at Eton College. The prestigious boys’ boarding school is situated just outside Windsor Castle.
Because Eton does not accept day students, George is fully expected to live on campus as a boarder.
For the past few years, he attended Lambrook School, a prep school in Berkshire, alongside Charlotte and Louis, returning home each afternoon.
While boarding represents a major life change, Eton College remains reassuringly close to the Wales family residence. The new campus is only a 15-minute drive away.
