Kelly Clarkson is making her stance on romance crystal clear. During a July 25 performance of her Studio Sessions residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, the singer got brutally honest about her love life.
The pop star has purposefully put dating on the back burner since her 2020 split from her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. She has since reorganized her life to prioritize their two children, River Rose and Remington “Remy” Alexander.
That shift in focus ultimately included ending The Kelly Clarkson Show to ensure she could properly support her family.
“Making Single Look Real Good”
During her Vegas set, Clarkson addressed the relentless questions she receives about her relationship status. An Instagram clip from the concert captured her unfiltered thoughts on modern romance.
“People are like, ‘Why are you single?’” Clarkson told the crowd. “I’m like, first of all—there are a lot of people out here making single look real good!”
She went on to explain that observing other couples only reinforces her decision. “If you could really understand what I meant by that is, you see relationships, and you’re like, ‘I’m so glad I’m going home alone!’” she noted. “You know what’s not happening in my house? That s***!”
