A United Front for Co-Parenting
Despite the end of their romantic relationship, the pair remains committed to raising their son, Sky. The singer explained that the decision was made “some time ago” and that they have been navigating the transition privately.
“Unfortunately being in the public eye this is the easiest way to let people know the truth, before rumours circulate or a false narrative is written,” she wrote.
She emphasized that they will continue to support each other with love, respect, and care as friends. Fans might still see the family out together, which she clarified is simply them “raising and loving Sky together, supported with a positive friendship.”
Whirlwind Romance and Health Battles
Colman, a Danish-born retired professional basketball player who competed in the Israel Premier League, first met the singer in 2021. Their introduction occurred just weeks after Jessie J suffered a tragic miscarriage.
The couple officially went public with their relationship in 2023. When Sky was born in May of that year, Jessie praised Colman as “the calm to my crazy,” “the peace to my fear,” and the “Daddy to my baby.”

She also referred to the former athlete as a “beam of light” that arrived during a dark period, calling their connection a “whirlwind love.”
Recent years have brought severe health challenges for the “Price Tag” hitmaker. In April 2025, she revealed she had been diagnosed with early breast cancer, navigating the diagnosis while raising her young son.
Past High-Profile Relationships
Prior to her relationship with Colman, Jessie J was linked to Hollywood actor Channing Tatum.
The two dated for two years after first being connected in October 2018.
Industry insiders at the time noted that Tatum’s demanding acting career and his focus on co-parenting his daughter ultimately led the couple to realize they were better off as friends.
