If you have downloaded a free VPN to secure your device, you need to check your app library immediately. Kaspersky strongly urges users to uninstall the following six applications to prevent financial theft:
- ProxyGate
- MaskVPN
- ShieldVPN
- ShineVPN
- DewVPN
- PaladinVPN
Leaving any of these platforms on your phone grants hackers a backdoor directly into your sensitive financial credentials.
How Hackers Bypass App Security
Malicious apps are just one part of the modern hacking equation. Criminals routinely deploy phishing emails, text messages, and fraudulent advertisements designed to perfectly mimic your bank.
