Hannah Released from Phoenix Hospital
“90 Day Fiancé” star Armando Rubio has confirmed that his 13-year-old daughter, Hannah, is finally out of an Arizona hospital after suffering a brain bleed.
In a three-part video posted to Instagram on Monday, Rubio shared that Hannah’s condition rapidly improved once he was able to reach her bedside.
“I’m actually very happy, very just thrilled, and just my heart is so full to let you guys know that Hannah has been released from the hospital,” Rubio said. “Which is the best news we could have right now.”
His husband, Kenneth Neidermeier, added that the teenager was ecstatic to leave the clinical environment. According to Neidermeier, doctors observed so much progress that they recommended transitioning her to a home setting to continue recovering.
A Sudden Crisis and Border Delays
The ordeal began last week when Hannah suddenly fell ill in the family’s small hometown in Mexico. She lost strength in half of her body and her face began to droop.
Lacking proper testing equipment locally, the family had the teenager airlifted to an intensive care unit in Phoenix, Arizona, where doctors discovered the brain bleed.
The situation escalated when Rubio was blocked at the US border. His initial request for temporary humanitarian parole was denied, forcing Neidermeier to stay alone at Hannah’s bedside in the ICU.
Working alongside an immigration attorney on an emergency request, Rubio finally crossed into Arizona on Saturday, reuniting with his husband and daughter.
Ongoing Treatment in Arizona
While Hannah is out of the ICU, she is not fully in the clear. The family must remain in the Phoenix area for another month under close medical supervision.
Doctors have not yet determined what caused the medical emergency. Rubio openly described the lack of a definitive diagnosis as “unsettling.”
Hannah is currently taking anti-seizure medication and experiencing partial blindness in one eye. She will soon begin targeted rehabilitation to rebuild strength in her facial muscles.
A Strong Family Foundation
In his video update, Rubio broke down in tears while thanking Neidermeier for stepping up during the stressful border delay.
“This is why I married him because I knew he was an amazing dad,” Rubio shared. “He proved it last week why I made the best decision of my life, why he’s my best friend… why he’s an amazing father to Hannah.”
Rubio raised Hannah as a single parent after his ex-wife died in a car crash. He later met Neidermeier—a father of four—through a Facebook group for gay dads, and the two married in May 2021.
The couple, who debuted on Season 2 of “90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way,” expressed profound gratitude to fans and castmates. Rubio directly credited public pressure from supporters for helping him secure emergency entry into the US to be with his child.
