To save their relationship, the couple invested a combined $150,000 into an intensive rehabilitation program for Brayshaw, the son of retired cricketer and sports presenter James Brayshaw.
Knight shared the details during an episode of Stan’s new reality series, Turned On: Dirty Sexy Money. The Gold Coast-based creator revealed she nearly ended the engagement after discovering the true extent of his financial deception.

“I didn’t find out all at once that he’d spent $30,000,” Knight said. “I found out it was happening week after week. It would be one grand, two grand, then three grand, four grand. It just kept adding up.”
The financial loss was secondary to the breach of trust. Knight stated that finding out Brayshaw had been lying is what pushed her over the edge and forced her to question their future together.
Moving in with a “Wizard”
Faced with an ultimatum from Knight to either get professional help or face a breakup, Brayshaw agreed to a drastic intervention.
The couple connected with a treatment specialist named Gavin, whom Brayshaw described as a “wizard.” Gavin lived alongside the couple for six months to oversee the recovery process.

According to Brayshaw, Gavin’s opening pitch was straightforward: “If you work with me, you will be fixed.”
Committing to the expensive six-month program required significant sacrifices. The pair canceled months of pre-planned travel arrangements to remain at home and focus entirely on the treatment.
A High-Stakes Investment
Knight viewed the massive financial commitment as a final attempt to salvage their partnership.
“I basically had a decision to make. It was like, do I give up on our relationship and cut the cord now, or do I invest this $150,000, give it everything I’ve got one last time, and hope that it works?” Knight explained.

The comprehensive treatment plan went beyond addiction therapy. Both Knight and Brayshaw attended regular psychological consultations, and Brayshaw was assigned a personal trainer to rebuild his physical health.
The couple confirmed the rehabilitation paid off and promised to share more details about the recovery process in the future.
From the Pub to Adult Stardom
Knight and Brayshaw’s relationship dates back to 2016, when they first met while working together at a pub in Melbourne.
The couple officially got engaged during a trip to Cancun in March 2025.
