English actress and television personality Denise Welch is proving she has no plans to slow down after celebrating her son’s high-profile Hollywood wedding.
The 68-year-old extended her stay in Los Angeles following the marriage of her son, The 1975 frontman Matty Healy, to model and musician Gabbriette Bechtel.

Rather than simply lounging in sunny Malibu, Welch hit the sand for a rigorous workout, taking fans along for a glimpse into her daily fitness regimen.
A Malibu Sweat Session
Dressed in an all-blue athletic outfit, Welch posted footage of her morning jog along the golden Malibu coastline.

She rounded out the outdoor session with squats and press-ups, captioning her upload simply with “Malibu” alongside a few bicep emojis.

Fans quickly flooded her comments to praise her dedication to staying active. “This life suits you so much. You are fab,” one follower wrote.
Another supporter added: “You work so hard, Denise, but it all pays off looking fabulous.”
The Health Scare That Changed Everything
Welch’s current fitness discipline stems from a serious health scare that occurred last year.
The actress previously revealed that a hard fall on London’s Kingston Bridge prompted a complete lifestyle overhaul.

“I went to see this knee doctor and he said, ‘You’ve got osteoarthritis and you need to lose weight,'” Welch recalled.
She also discovered her sleep apnea was being exacerbated by weight gain. Welch has been highly transparent about her past struggles with low mental health, admitting she frequently turned to food for comfort during difficult times.
A Hollywood Fairytale
Before shifting her focus back to fitness, Welch celebrated her son’s nuptials at the historic Chateau Marmont estate in Hollywood.

The ceremony took place directly beneath the iconic Hollywood sign. Healy wore a custom Paul Smith suit, while Bechtel opted for a 19th-century-inspired gown by design duo Matieres Fecales.
Welch attended the event in an off-the-shoulder pink satin dress with statement puff sleeves and delicate silver jewelry.
“To see my eldest son marry the most beautiful, funny, crazy girl under the Hollywood sign was a night I’ll never forget. They are made for each other,” Welch wrote on social media.
The star-studded guest list featured several notable celebrities, including singer Charli XCX in a striking black dress, British presenter Nick Grimshaw, and “Coronation Street” stars Sally Dynevor and Angela Lonsdale.
