While the album dominates stateside, its latest single, “Danceteria”, is proving her global reach remains formidable. The track just debuted on three separate Billboard charts, cementing her status as an enduring hitmaker.
Conquering the Global Markets
“Danceteria” has officially opened at No. 104 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. and No. 126 on the Billboard Global 200.
The dual entry marks Madonna’s fourth career appearance on both lists. Because Billboard only introduced these specific global metrics in 2020, all of her charting tracks here stem from the past three years.
Eclipsing a Timeless Classic
In a surprising twist, “Danceteria” instantly ranks as Madonna’s third-highest-charting single on the worldwide lists, outpacing one of her most legendary anthems. “Like a Prayer” sits just below the new single in her modern global rankings.
Despite receiving a massive viral boost from its feature in the summer 2024 blockbuster Deadpool & Wolverine, “Like a Prayer” peaked at No. 131 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. and No. 138 on the Billboard Global 200.
Collaborations Keeping the Crown Intact
Madonna’s absolute highest-ranking modern smash remains “Popular,” her powerhouse collaboration with The Weeknd and Playboi Carti for the television series The Idol. That track peaked at a highly competitive No. 13.
Two months prior to the release of “Danceteria,” she secured her second-highest placement with “Bring Your Love.” The Confessions II track, featuring pop heavyweight Sabrina Carpenter, topped out at No. 91 on the Billboard Global 200 and No. 97 on the Excl. U.S. list.
Doubling Down on Dance
Beyond the global arena, “Danceteria” is making its mark on a U.S.-based tally. The song debuted at No. 10 on the Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart, doubling Madonna’s top 10 hits on one of Billboard’s newest lists.
All three of her recent Dance/Pop entries originate from Confessions II. Her inaugural trip to the chart happened in early May when “I Feel So Free” debuted and peaked at No. 12. Weeks later, “Bring Your Love” became her first top 10 on the list, surging to No. 7.
